I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
